Vita

Horst Lehmann studied Physics at the Technical University of Munich, Germany, majoring in Solid State Physics, Semiconductor Physics and Biophysics. After graduation, he joined the patent department of IBM in Stuttgart, where in 1999 he qualified as a German Patent and Trademark Attorney. Since 2001 he is also admitted as a Professional Representative before the European Patent Office in Munich. In 2002 Horst Lehmann entered private practice.

Main Areas of Activity

Besides representing his clients in official granting and registration procedures Horst Lehmann also extensively deals with opposition, nullity and infringement cases. He draws on more than 15 years of experience with patent and trademark related matters. Horst Lehmann particularly focusses on inventions from the areas of telecommunications and semiconductor technology, information technology, materials science and biophysics.

Horst Lehmann’s clients include leading universities and businesses in the information technology, sensor technology and analytics fields. As a guest lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich he familiarises the next generation of inventors with the fundamentals of intellectual property law.
